Bolted Glass Systems

The fire environment is hostile and it's effects can be catastrophic for both life and property. The occurrence of fire and it's development is also often initially unseen, essentially unpredictable and quite uncertain. It is therefore critically important that the specification, selection and installation of fire resistant glazing are all carried out with close attention to detail. Fire resistant glazing may be used as a barrier for the fire separation or compartmentation as part of an integrated fire safety strategy for the building. Both the common integrity-only (E) and integrity with insulation (El) ratings along with heat radiation (EW) reduction systems are available from EGS. Products span the range of standard test times of 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes according to either BS 476-22:1987 or BS EN 1364. Systems are available aluminium, anodised aluminium, polyester powder coated mild steel and satin stainless steel. Additionally a wide range of overcladding, i.e. bronze, brass, anodised aluminium and polished stainless steel can be applied to the core frameworks. Hybrid fire resistant systems incorporating bullet and manual attack resistance can primarily in polyester powder coated also be supplied. Systems that can be supplied are :
